The Houck Agency and Loftis & Wetzel Insurance have entered an agreement for a business transfer.
The Houck Agency of Stillwater is transferring all of their property and casualty insurance customers to Loftis & Wetzel Insurance. Kent and Barbara Houck came to the decision after their property and casualty agent, Scott Whitley, passed away suddenly to complications after a surgical procedure.
In a letter to their clients, Kent and Barbara wrote: “After much thought and prayer, we have determined it is in your and our best interest to find an insurance agency that will provide the best service possible for your home and auto policies.”
Effective August 1st, the transfer to Loftis & Wetzel began in earnest with the Loftis & Wetzel agency writing in their own letter, “our agency has begun the process of adding these files to our database. We are no stranger to this process, but we appreciate your patience as we complete this move.”
How will you be affected by this move?
If you were a personal or commercial insurance customer of Houck Agency, here is what you need to know.
This transition is automatic.
You do not need to take any additional actions outside of what you are used to unless you need to service your account or make your regular payments.
Make a note of new agency contact information.
Our agency sent a letter with contact information for our offices. If you did not receive one, please notify us so we may send you a copy and update your contact information as it may be out-of-date.
Bryan Langford-Loftis is your primary contact at the Stillwater office. However, we have a number of staff in our Blackwell office that provide customer service support.

- Electronic payment from bank account, debit/credit card.
Payment is available over the phone, online, or in person at our office. Please note that we do not handle cash, though we are happy to assist you with one of the above methods.

In 2020, we began offering e-signature to our clients, so it is important that we have emails for all named insured(s) if you wish to use this quick, contact-free service.
